Download the free BetterPoints app via the buttons at the bottom or QR code below
Register an account with your Borough of Wokingham postcode. If you work or study but commute in from outside, contact us for a referral code.
You can then earn BetterPoints straight away for walking, wheeling, cycling and using public transport. You can spend them online, at high street retailers, or donate them to charity.
🌳 National Tree Week
National Tree Week (25 November - 3 December) is the UK's largest annual tree celebration and marks the start of the tree planting season.
Trees have a hugely important role in the natural ecosystem. They absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release it as oxygen, making them important pollutant controllers.
To help trees in their efforts to clean up the air, we're asking My Journey Wokingham participants to swap car journeys for walking, cycling or public transport whenever possible over these 9 days.
By doing so, you can earn the BetterPoints bonus rewards and medals below. Plus, every bonus reward earned will be match-funded with a donation to Freely Fruity. For example, if you complete 1 hour of walking and travelling by bus during National Tree Week, you will earn 30 BetterPoints for yourself and Freely Fruity.
Can you travel actively and sustainably for 10 hours to earn all five medals and maximise the donation to this great charity?

🍎 Freely Fruity
Freely Fruity is a local charity whose mission is to plant more fruit for people to enjoy in the community for free and reduce our carbon footprint as they do it. This year for National Tree Week, they are planting mini-orchards in several schools in the Wokingham area. They will be working with the children to teach them the importance of sustainable living and the skills needed to grow their own fruit.
